Rule changes

What moved, and when

Visa rules are not stable. Spain closed its golden visa, Malta's citizenship route was struck down, Portugal pushed citizenship to about ten years. This is every change we have recorded to the routes we track, newest first — each one detected by comparing the catalog against its last published state, not by anyone's memory.

No changes recorded yet

The catalog was last verified end to end against official sources in July 2026. This log starts from that baseline — the first entry will appear the next time a tracked figure moves. Nothing is backfilled from memory, because a change we did not actually observe is not evidence of anything.

Under watch right now

158 routes across 101 countries. Every one carries a link to the government page it was read from. Each is compared field by field against its last published state on every build.

Only the figures a mover can act on are tracked — income and investment bars, permit length, the path to residency or citizenship, whether family can come, the government fee, and the official source page. Wording changes are not rule changes, and reporting them as such would make this log worth ignoring.
